I have spent...I'm 100% for the right to choose. I have spent many months on a rehab floor in a hospital, watching people try to squeeze some semblance of a life out of a body that didn't allow for much...it's heart-wrenching.

I have limitations, but have learned how to life a very full life...I know where I draw the line if my ability to function at a certain level becomes less than I can bear, no one will stop me from how life will proceed for me...and my family is clear on my wishes.

MHLMotor-head Ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06535337620719929844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1260234673522459315.post-6038028402516643602010-01-10T19:18:44.203+00:002010-01-10T19:18:44.203+00:00Yeah I think if there are certain checks in place ...Yeah I think if there are certain checks in place then then people should be able to end their life assuming of course that their quality of life has diminished.

Not a pleasant topic to discuss but thanks for all your input. :)Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00664242984148886143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1260234673522459315.post-73832975955327485832010-01-09T18:29:42.541+00:002010-01-09T18:29:42.541+00:00It's something I walk the line on. While he wasn't dying anyway, he felt his quality of life was severly curtailed by his paralysis, but his decision met with outrage from many.

I put forward an argument relating to abortion to try and make people think. While I don't personally believe in abortion, isn't that a person deciding that a living being within them is going to die, therefore taking the choice out of the unborn baby's hand. If someone can make a decision like this over someone else's life, then surely a person who no longer wants to live has the right to choose to end their life with dignity?Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04425977546505490830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1260234673522459315.post-38038590537783249212010-01-09T06:18:01.050+00:002010-01-09T06:18:01.050+00:00I think this is a good thing. People shouldn't...I think this is a good thing. People shouldn't be forced to suffer for months when the outcome will be the same: death. It is a huge strain on the lives of those still living.

I am sure there could be abuses but it sounds like the law is a good one.The Singlutionaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11199194725578216599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1260234673522459315.post-72919914818103389152010-01-09T03:17:05.258+00:002010-01-09T03:17:05.258+00:00I am Switzerland on this!!
